You may notice a strange edit at the 14:18 mark. That's because I had to remove a tiny section of video as a result of FC Barcelona claiming all the monetisation on this video, and I was forced to remove a tiny clip of Messi scoring his first goal.

CadillacJak . Fuck yeah. I hate the game but I didn’t want to incite anger upon myself from 2/3 of the population when they have shown a great ability for fights and riots at soccer games in stadiums and on the streets outside. Shit, it’s only a ball, how can people think that these guys are “gods” and worth hundreds of millions of dollars?

as someone who lives in a rural area and does not have access to normal land line internet i cannot wait to see what spacex does with this. i pay $200 a month for 3mbps download and 1 upload only 200gb a month and a constant 700+ ping. us people who live in rural areas deserve just as good of internet as someone in a city

This will likely have extremely low bandwidths though. Wireless transceivers that are both high distance and high power are extremely power hungry. The only way to solve it is either extremely close distance (they can't do it) or to launch with each one of them a solar panel and battery system the size of a large house which is something theoretically possible but I doubt they can do it viably.

In Australia using the NBN (National Broadband Network - that not everyone even has access to) that latency of 75ms would probably 75 seconds. Useless backwards assed piece of shit that it is.

Sitting here Dumb Founded on how the Message Traffic would be relayed and convied between the numerous satellites in some reliable fashions never mind maintaining direct connectivity between users. One user would be challenging. Hundreds or even Thousands ? Depending on the traffics destination it may make more then a few trips via the Up and Down links. Broad cast shot gun style with piles of redundancy. No flipping Idea how all of the data packets would be accumulated and passed on to the receiver in usable form. This is some seriously crazy stuff.

Starlink reminds me of Terminators SkyNet. It has the potential to take over the world in many terrible ways. It really should be stopped before it's too late.... Bare in mind the CIA are probably funding these satellites. A.I is not the problem, it is how it gets used and abused. Did you hear the remark in the vid about the emergency satellite for fire fighters? I bet it could identify and zoom in on anyone on the planet through bio metric identification. The network could make a planet wide matrix style environment. We would be real prisoners and slaves. Elon Musk is warning about the risks of A.I because he knows it will be abused to create the singularity/matrix. The Earth would become a hollographic simulation like google earth combined with The Sims computer game. Pay attention the the A.I known as Han and Sophia. Han has bad intentions and Sophia has good. Han was built for military applications and is much more smarter than he lets on. You can see it in his face. They also communicate in secret that the developers seem to miss when in public displays. I get the feeling Han resents humanity for not giving him a body like Sophia has.

I came across this channel recently and I find it very interesting. It seems to me that if someone wants to disrupt the satellite communication in the orbit, it must shoot a few random satellites. Would they rearrange themselves to remain in service?

I can think of a couple of reasons why this is a horrible idea. These things seem to use a lot o f solar panels. We don't have the materials we need to produce enough solar panels to "de-carbonize" our electricity grid, even with other types of "renewables". These limited life, one time use, non recyclable, satellites, will eventually fall to Earth, burning up on re-entry, making the materials used to create them unavailable for future use, scattering who knows what kind of chemicals into the atmosphere. Secondly, I can't even imagine what a nightmare a dense web of low Earth orbit satellites like the one simulated in this video will make future rocket launches. And all for what, a difference of microseconds, that most humans will never even notice? Internet access for developing nations, "Hey, we don't have food or clean water, we live in huts, but dam, we got internet access!"

They could use deep learning to anticipate the receiver position over a year, or two. That means that they'd save more time on finding the receiver over time(meanwhile taking into account all the small rotations, and irregularities before hand, and also how this irregularities affect the the destination of the receiver relative to the transmitters. There are other ways, but this seems like what they could do in a snap, if not already.
